Attention Harleton ISD School Community:
During the day today, our teachers will finish their calls to each home.
From these phone calls, we will gain the following information:
1. The homes requesting the meals for Monday through Friday
2. Where we need to deliver the meals, in the event that a person cannot pick them up here at the school
3. What homes do not have internet access, so packets can be mailed home
4. The homes where internet is available, but where we need to try and provide a Chromebook style device
Starting tomorrow, meals will be available on Mondays and Wednesdays for either pick-up or delivery. On Mondays and Wednesdays, several meals (at one time) will be available for pick-up at the Elementary or delivery for each home that requests them for their children.
Secondly, "At-Home" educational packets will be put together for the homes without internet access. These will be mailed in the coming days.
Also, the Technology Department will begin working on Chromebook style devices for the homes where there is a need (internet access in the home, but no tablet or Chromebook style device available).
There were many meals (several meals for each child) delivered yesterday to the families that have been picking them up daily. There will be no food service today, as we prepare for the first day of pick-up and/or delivery tomorrow, Wednesday, March 25, 2020.
Thank you for helping get all of this information from your homes, so that we can establish a more focused educational and food service system in the Harleton ISD.
And remember, it's a great day to be alive and a great day to be a Wildcat!
